If your toothbrush won’t connect to the app, here are a few suggestions to help you:
1/ Your toothbrush is not turned on:
Press the button on the toothbrush.
If nothing happens, place it on the charging station and ensure that the charger is plugged in.
-> If the LED of your toothbrush lights up, the battery is being charged: leave it on the charger for 30 minutes then log in to the app.
2 / Your toothbrush does not appear when:
2a – you’ve tapped the "Start" button on the "Connect your Ara" page
2b – You’ve selected "I do not have a charger" and your toothbrush does not appear in the list.
Ensure that your toothbrush is not already connected to another device nearby (such as another phone or tablet where the Kolibree app is installed): more information is available here.
If it is connected to another device, disconnect the toothbrush from this device or unpair the toothbrush: see “Forgetting your toothbrush”. Try again to connect your current device.
3/ If you are still unable to find your toothbrush via the app despite everything:
a) Turn off the Bluetooth on your device, then turn it back on;
b) Put your phone or tablet into flight mode then turn it back on, then turn Bluetooth on again.
c) "Kill" the app (on iPhone, tap the home button twice, then select your app and drag it off the screen / On Android, terminate the app in the task list or list of recent activity). Restart the Kolibree app.
d) A major incident may require you to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.
4/ If your toothbrush is turned on but does not flash blue despite sufficient battery charge :
a) Uninstall the app (iOS : long click on the app, then click on the "x" on the top right of the app icon - Android : long click, then drag and drop the app into the bin icon on the screen)
b) Reinstall it by going on "Kolibree" on the AppStore or the PlayStore, then open it and log in again.
c) Reset your toothbrush:
Press and hold the button for 9 to 10 seconds: the color of the LED will change and then the LED will turn-off. The toothbrush has been reset: switch it on by pressing the button and try to connect it to your device again.
